PHOTOSHOP TIPS with Kladi

Discover how to turn any graphic into an embroidery patch with Photoshop Paremetric filters and then quickly place it in a packaging ready to be displayed on your website!

STEPS TO FOLLOW ALONG

Access my files here to practice

  1. Open your Photoshop file

  2. Place your graphic ( you can also copy-paste from Adobe Illustrator or drag from your CC Libraries

  3. Select the layer with the graphic then head to Filters > Parametric Filters

  4. Choose the Embroidery filter, adjust thread colors, thickness and size until you reach your desired result

  5. Bring in the packaging image and duplicate so on is at the very bottom and one at the very top of the layer stack

  6. Then use the Background Eraser tool to erase the background and show the patches thorugh the plastic pouch

  7. Settings for the eraser tool are : Sample to Once and Tolerance to 50% - 60%

    TADA’ you are done :)

Parametric Filters : Non distructive tool in Photoshop BETA that allows you to apply and adjust various stylized effects.

Erase Background : Distructive tool that erases layer’s pixels to transparency, while maintaining object’s edges by specifing sampling and tolerance options.
